DUMAS
SERVICES- Graveside services at 10:30 am on Monday, October 31, 2005 in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, with Rev. Johnny Snider, Pastor of the Travis Baptist Church in Memphis, officiating.
VIEWING- Viewing & Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 N 10th Street, in Memphis.
INTERMENT- Fairview Cemetery, Memphis, TX
Mrs. Hightower was born in Lakeview to Ernest and Eula Thorne Moreland, and had been a resident of Hall County most of her life. She married J. H. Murdock Jr in 1947 and he died in 1961. She married Delbert Hightower in 1965 and he died in 2001. She had worked in various places throughout her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Travis Baptist Church in Memphis.
PREDEDED IN DEATH BY - her husbands, her parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, and 1 son.
SURVIVORS - a daughter and special son in law, Patsy and Charles Black of Dumas; one son, John "Skipper" Murdock of Dumas; one sister, Dorothy Anthony of Lubbock; 2 brothers, Bo Moreland of Bryan-College Station, J. T. Moreland of Lowell, Arkansas; a special person in her life, Connie Murdock of Memphis; 5 grandchildren, Tracie and Steve Shillings of Amarillo, Stacie Murdock of Granbury, Corey Murdock of Memphis, Hunter Murdock of El Reno, OK; and 4 great grandchildren, Courtney and Justin Shillings of Amarillo, Riley Murdock of Memphis, Aaliyah Chavera of Amarillo.
