I really thought a lot of Sam. He taught me math in JR Hi At Clarendon.
Sam has been my friend and neighbor as long as I have lived in Clarendon. He was a dear, godly man, and he will be tremendously missed.
Heaven has gained a Wonderful Man!!! He was always the bright light on Sunday morning. He told me lots of stories of His Debbie and Nick...So blessed to have known this man and shared Sunday mornings with him...Know he is rejoicing in Heaven...Hugs and Prayers for all of YOU...Butch and Debbie Hamilton
Dear Debbie and Nick, I don't know if you will remember me or my family, but your dad Sam was a dear friend of my parents, Dick and Oressa Delaney, during the years they lived in Clarendon. They were part of the same church family at the Clarendon United Methodist, and Daddy and Sam were also occasional coffee drinking buddies. When my family would visit my parents we always attended church with them so I got acquainted with Sam through that. He was unfailingly kind, gentle, and had a true servant heart, and I know my parents thought the world of him. The last time I saw Sam was a few years ago when he was ushering at a memorial service in the Clarendon church. I had not seen him in several years, but he remembered me, and we had an opportunity to visit following the service. The church and community of Clarendon will miss Sam greatly. Debbie and Nick, you have our sympathy on your family's loss. Rita Delaney Wynn

Mr Lowry was sure a sweet man. He will be dearly missed. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
Debbie and Nick, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Lowry's passing. Sam was a great guy, a gentleman, always asked about all our family, and seriously patient with us as students. I think he had to learn the "new math" (back in the 60s) along with us; that took a lot of patience on his behalf when we all had to learn it. Sam was a bit younger than my mom and dad, but always a part of their church circles, along with being a band parent and CHS fan. I remember him "passing the plate" at First United Methodist, his coffee time with my grandparents, Sunday School with my mom.
Lifting you all in prayer -- Cindy Lowe Barnett
