GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 3:00 pm Sunday, October 7, 2012 in Silverton Cemetery in Silverton.
INTERMENT- Silverton Cemetery in Silverton.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mr. Fortenberry was born June 14, 1914 in Briscoe County to J.C. and Vonnie Ann Fortenberry. He married Eva Jewel McCain on October 8, 1953. He a US Navy veteran and was a farmer prior to his retirement. He was a resident of Clarendon before moving to Amarillo 5 years ago. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Clarendon.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY his parents; his wife; his son, Elmo Ray Fortenberry, Sr.
SURVIVORS - 3 grandchildren, Trishia Schwertner and husband Steve of Clarendon, Rhonda Greathouse and husband Glen of Amarillo, and Elmo Ray Fortenberry, Jr. of Midland; 5 great grandchildren, Tristan, Erika, Blair, Rowdy, and Stone.
MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
