Chancey Rae Miller Maldonado's Obituary
Chancey Rae Miller Maldonado of Pampa, TX passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at her residence in Pampa at the age of 33 years, 11 months and 15 days. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Calvary Christian Fellowship in Shamrock, TX with Mark Thomas officiating, assisted by Steve Bentley. Burial will follow at Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.

Chancey was born on August 11, 1989 in Lawton, OK to Marty Miller and Lynnette Stokes Thomas.. She was raised in Shamrock, TX and graduated from Shamrock High School in 2007. After graduating, Chancey worked as a Cosmetologist and Hairstylist in the Lawton area. In 2010, she was in a car accident and became a quadriplegic. Chancey had great determination in spite of her disability, though, and later decided to return to school. She earned her Associate’s Degree at Amarillo College, then her Bachelor’s Degree at Southwest Oklahoma State University. She was currently a year and a half into completing her Master’s Degree in Psychology. She married Jimmy Maldonado on July 23, 2022 in Wheeler, TX, moving to Pampa at that time. She worked at Walmart and loved her job and coworkers there. Chancey was always very active, enjoying singing, talking to friends on the phone and watching her husband Jimmy play soccer. She also loved horses and was presented a saddle for quadriplegics. She was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship in Shamrock.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth and Juajaun Stokes, Bob and Mary Miller and Jerry and Faye Douglas; her aunt, Karen Foster; her uncle, Steven Stokes; and 2 cousins, Jennifer Houston and Bobby Houston.
Survivors include: her husband, Jimmy Maldonado of Pampa, TX; her mother and step-father, Lynnette and Mark Thomas of Shamrock; her father and step-mother, Marty and Felicia Miller of Devol , OK; her step-son, Alan Fernando Maldonado of Honduras; 3 brothers, Casey (Tori) Miller of Shamrock, Chris (Kelly) Thomas of Spring, TX, and Nick Thomas of Virginia; 1 sister, Silver Miller of Wichita Falls, TX; 6 cousins, Ethan (Hailey) Hrbacek, Evan (Ida) Hrbacek, Everett (Tamara) Hrbacek, Heather (Matthew) Mullin, Cassidy Uptergrove and Julia Mowery; aunts and uncles, Gary (Julie) Hrbacek, Wayne (Donna) Houston and Rob (Kathy) Miller; 3 nephews, Brody, Bryson and Bradon Thomas; a great aunt, Della Mae Stokes; and numerous other relatives.
