Carson Bird was one of my first friends in my memory. Carson, in fact his mother and father and sister too, were role models any parent would want their children to follow. I hope there are horses in heaven because that is where I know I will see Carson the next time.

Carson was my first boss 40 years ago with El Paso. I've always loved and respected Carson. As a young man I could not have asked for a better example of how a man should conduct his life, by working hard, loving your family, respecting others and most of all serving Christ. I know I will see him again and who knows, maybe we'll go horseback riding. I will lift up the family in my daily prayers for comfort and peace.
