Carl Wayne Knoll's Obituary
Carl Wayne Knoll, 77, of Shamrock, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 in Shamrock.
Memorial Service will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Calvary Christian Fellowship with Mark Thomas, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Carl was born May 7, 1942 in Shamrock to Louis and Melba Taylor Knoll. He graduated from Samnorwood High School and had lived in the Shamrock area all of his life. He married Connie Sue Barger on February 20, 1964 in Amarillo.
Carl joined the Navy in 1961 and served for two years. He then joined the National Guard and served there until 2000. Carl worked for the Shamrock Police Dept. in 1972 and for Wheeler County from 1973 to 1976. He worked for the Wheeler County EMS from 1973-1980. He was a deputy for 22 years and a dispatcher for 23 years; retiring as a dispatcher in 2016. Carl loved to play golf and spending time with his friends at the Shamrock Country Club. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers; Danny Knoll and Mack Knoll.
He is survived by his wife, Connie of Shamrock; 3 daughters; Lisa Pursley of Newcastle, Amy Knoll of Granbury, and Jenifer Lees of Morrill, NE; 3 grandchildren; Hailey Calcote of Graham, Brody Calcote, and Madyson Lees of Morrill, NE; 2 Sisters-in-law; Brenda Knoll and Donna Knoll and two nieces; Kimberly Knoll and Cristine Knoll.
