HOWARDWICK SERVICES- 11:00 am Saturday, June 25, 2005 in the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Pastor, officiating. INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery Peck was born in Babs Switch, Oklahoma to Levi and Winnie Pettit. He had been a resident of Howardwick and Donley County since 1981. He also served in the US Army Air Corp in World War II from 1942 to 1946. He married Margaret Carlson on April 23, 1949 at Round Rock, Texas. He was retired from Western Electric Telephone Company which later turned to AT&T telephone company. After retiring, he was involved in many clubs and organizations in Donley County until his death. Such clubs and organizations include past master of Masonic Lodge #700, past worthy patron of Eastern Star #6, retired firefighter from the Howardwick Volunteer Fire Dept., and was also an alderman for the city of Howardwick for 6 years. He was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon. SURVIVORS - his wife, Margaret of Howardwick; one son, Larry Pettit of Nashville, TN; 3 brothers, Rev. Max Pettit and wife Dorothy of El Paso, Glenn Pettit of Lubbock, Bill Pettit and wife Betty of Santa Fe, TX; 3 grandchildren, Larinda Brown of Clarendon, Tim Pettit of Tyler, Marteka Pettit of Clovis, NM; 3 great grandchildren, Audry Jones, Hadley Jones, and Shaydee Brown all of Clarendon. MEMORIALS - Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon.
