McLEAN SERVICES- 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in McLean,and Rev. Z. A. Myers of Shamrock, officiating. INTERMENT- Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Gudgel was born September 28, 1910 in Hollis, OK to Noah and Annie Waldon Mullins. She married John Henry Gudgel on September 25, 1929 at Sayre, OK. She had lived in the McLean, Gray County, area for more than 74 years. She had worked at Marie Foundations in McLean for several years, a job which she loved, before her retirement. She loved baking breads, canning, and was famous for her homemade pies. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Ladies of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary, and was a Baptist. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her husband in 1977; a son, Elmer Keith Gudgel; 2 daughters, Betty Campbell and Dorothy Steel; a granddaughter, Rhonda Gudgel; and 2 great great grandchildren, Bryan Bybee and Audrey Morris. SURVIVORS - 4 daughters, Marlene Hamby and husband Kenneth of Miami, TX, Arlene Back and husband Rex of Wheeler, Shirley Morris of McLean, Mary Basham and husband Donnie of McLean; 25 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and special friends Boots and James Stone.
