Bobby Jack Watson, 87, of Clarendon died Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Quail Cemetery in Quail with Tom Anderson, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Bob was born July 27, 1934 in Wellington to Jack and Vesta Dafferin Watson. He married Dorothy Lee White on September 19, 1953 in Wellington. He had been a resident of Shallowater before moving to Clarendon in 2000. He served in Law Enforcement for a number of years, and was the director of the Lubbock Police Academy for many years. Bob's hobbies included woodworking and crafts. He taught a World Bible Study for 8 years and was a member of the Clarendon Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Nathan and Clinton Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Watson of Clarendon; his son, Audie Watson and wife Leitha of Clarendon; his daughters, Tanya Smith of Amarillo and Angela Gilliam and husband Stacy of Granbury; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
The family request memorials be sent to Quail Cemetery Association.
