INTERMENT: Mobeetie Cemetery in Mobeetie, TX.

Bobby Don Galmor was born September 16, 1936 in Wheeler, Texas to Bob and Bessie Galmor. He passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at his home in Shamrock, Texas surrounded by his family and friends.
Bobby grew up in Mobeetie, Texas and graduated with the class of 1955. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Jo McCauley, and they were married 58 years. Bobby served four years in the US Air Force before moving to Borger and starting work in the oilfield supply business. He worked for Beacon Supply owned by the Sidwell family. He was also employed by J & L Supply. He met the Davis family in 1964 and they formed Damor Pump and Supply. At that time, the family moved to Shamrock where he and Shirley raised their five kids.
In 1970, he partnered with Roy and Rodney Barker to form Roy Production. Bobby was part-owner of Damor Pump & Supply for many years before buying his partner out. Later, the company was renamed Galmor’s Inc. and is operated by the Galmor boys and grandsons, and has employed many of its family members through the years. Bobby loved to work and to play.. He was a farmer/rancher, an avid pilot who loved to fly and he loved being a grandpa and great grandpa.
Bobby was a Master Mason and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason like his dad and his son Steve.
SURVIVORS: “Poppa” Bob is survived by his wife Shirley Jo Galmor and five children: Steve Galmor and Becky of Elk City, Oklahoma; Mark “Rudas” Galmor of Shamrock; Leslie Pritchard of Dallas, Texas; Traci Coleman and Doug Jr. of Shamrock; and Shawn Galmor of Shamrock. Poppa had fourteen grandkids, and twenty great grandkids, and many others he claimed. He will be missed by his many cousins, Rose, Alice, and Nell in Montague County, and many life-long friends.
