Bobby Charles Orrick's Obituary
Bobby Charles Orrick, age 78, passed away on Sept 17, 2018 at his McLean, Texas residence.
Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church in McLean, Texas on Thursday September 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Thacker Haynes, officiating. Burial to follow at the Orrick Family Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Visitation will be at Robertson Funeral Directors in McLean, Texas from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday September 19th.
Bobby was born on June 3, 1940 in Shamrock Texas to George Morrell Orrick and Doris Jean Word Orrick. The family moved to McLean around 1946 and then out to the family farm 9 miles from Mclean around 1951. Bobby graduated from McLean High School in 1958. He later served in the Army National Reserves and worked on the Reese ranch in Arizona where he met and married Judy Marie McDonald Orrick. They were married Aug 28, 1965. The couple lived in Canadian and Quanah Texas where he worked as a TV cable repair man, they moved to McLean to the family farm in 1967. In 1968, he began working for Cabot corporation in Pampa Texas, (later renamed as Ingersoll Rand), where he retired after 28 years. He spent some of his retired years working for a local rancher, the feed store and a feed lot. In his final years, he tended to his own cattle, and he spent most of his time on the family farm, the place that he loved the most. Bobby will forever be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Bobby is preceded in death by both his parents George and Jean Orrick.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Marie Orrick; his two daughters, Colleen Marie Huseman and husband Bart of Amarillo and Kimberly Dee Polito of Willow Park; seven grandchildren, Ashlin Marie Huseman, Kristin Anne Huseman, Ryan Joseph Huseman, Shane Matthew Huseman, Kelby James McClellan, Jared Ryan McClellan, Nolan Dakota McClellan. He is also survived by his sister and brother, Rebecca Jean Orrick Nunez and Billy Mark Orrick.
