GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 10:00 AM Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
INTERMENT– Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Bobby was born August 11, 1937 in Floydada to Evert and Bea Thompson Johnson. He married Charlotte Wilson on September 17, 1955 in Martin. He had been a resident of Clarendon and Amarillo most of his life. He was a US Navy veteran and worked for Gilvin-Terrill Road Construction for over 50 years prior to his retirement. He loved his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Amarillo.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; his son, David Johnson; his daughter, Lisa Chapman; a brother, Gerald Johnson; and a grandson, Randy Joe Hill, Jr.
SURVIVORS – 3 daughters, Kay Lynn Hill and husband Randy of Canyon, Renee Johnson and husband Ernie Saldivar of Post, and Shelly Johnson and partner Jan Holly of Amarillo; a brother, Roger Johnson and wife Carolyn of Canyon; a sister, Rhonda Stephenson and husband David of Canyon; 3 grandchildren, Jenny Baker and husband Justin of Bushland, Jamie McCoy and husband J.D. of Oklahoma City, and Whitney Johnson of California; 4 great grandsons; and a loyal friend, Jane Wood.
MEMORIALS- The family suggests that memorials be to BSA Hospice.
