Bobby Carroll Holwick's Obituary
Bob Holwick, 88, of McLean, Texas passed peacefully on May 25, 2024.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 30, 2024 in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Casey Carter, officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
He was born in Anson, Tx May 10, 1936 to Burton and Audrey Holwick. Bob’s first job at 16 was driving a semi truck from Anson to Florida. Afterwards, he worked with his Dad operating heavy machinery on road construction until his service in the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean Conflict and played baseball for the Army. After his service, he worked for General Dynamics building missile silos at White Sands, NM. He met the love of his life Ginger Holwick in Roswell, NM and they married June 15, 1962. In 64, they moved to McLean, TX where he began ranching, farming, and raising a family until his death.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Burton and Audrey Holwick; his sisters, Diane Holwick and Gaynell Jones; and a brother, Phillip Holwick.
He is survived by his wife Ginger Holwick; two sons, Von Holwick and wife Rusti of Ft Smith, AR. Cal Holwick and wife Mindy of Wheeler, Tx; grandchildren, Bryce and Emily Holwick, Aaron and Lexie Holwick. Hayden, Holden, and Hennessy Holwick. Isabella, Gabe and Sophia Hice; One great grandson, Jack Holwick and a host of other family and friends that loved him.
Bob lived a full life and will be greatly missed.
