Betty Sue O'Neal's Obituary
Betty Sue O’Neal, 80, of Hedley passed to her Heavenly home on December 28, 2019.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Quanah Memorial Park Cemetery in Quanah with Monty Lumpkin, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Betty Sue was born January 27, 1939 to Milton and Wilma Barnes in Quanah.
Born into a farming family Betty was raised with older brother J.M. and younger brother Jimmy. She loved talking about the times on the Moseley place where she had fond memories as a child. Later on they moved to the Nichols place where she spent her teenage years. She used to speak of how Milton loved to fish there . As time went by Betty graduated from Quanah High in 1957 . She married Albert O’Neal later on and her son, Albert Duane (Abby) was born. She became a great mother, homemaker wife and a diligent worker right along side Albert. As time went on Betty moved to Vernon and worked at Huey’s Palace and Gibson’s before moving to Hedley to live close to Abby. Most recently she was living in Memphis.
Preceding Betty were her parents Milton and Wilma, and older brother J.M.
She is survived by her only child Albert (Abby) O’Neal and wife Catherine O’Neal of Amarillo; Three grandchildren, Amber Krider and husband Richard of Quanah, Kimber Crull and husband Tom of Cuba Missouri, and Samuel Lovely of Amarillo. There are three great grandchildren; Dylan O’Neal and Tristan Krider of Quanah, and Rylie Crull of Cuba Missouri; and her brother, Jimmy of College Station.
