Betty Joyce Dwight's Obituary
Betty Joyce Dwight, affectionately known as Granny Betty passed away on Thursday, September 5th, 2024 at the age of 84 in Hedley Tx. Betty will be remembered for her kind spirit and loving nature. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories among all that knew her. Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her favorite things were spending time with her family, and the love of reading.
Betty was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Dwight and Paul Dwight. A great grandchild. Madison Ann Powers. Mother, Ruby Lois Lair, and Father, James W. Stout. and two brothers, Boyd and Jimmy Stout.
Betty leaves behind two children, Timber Lee Potts, Kirk Dwight and wife Beverly. Five grandchildren, James Lee Potts, and wife Staci, Tessa Powers, Christopher Dwight and wife Alisha, Kristen Dwight, and Haley Dwight and husband David Martinez. Three great grandchildren, Tristen Powers, Chevy Miller, and Evangeline Jade Potts. Betty also leaves behind two daughter in laws, Ginger Dwight Pickens, and Pam Dwight. Her step grands and greats are Haley Dwight's children, Diego and Jas Martinez, Chris Dwight's daughter Kylie, and Beverly Dwight's Daughter, Megan Steinke and boys Mason and Odie Steinke.
A graveside service celebrating Betty's life will be held on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Rowe Cemetery fund.
