Bettie Lou Waddill's Obituary
Bettie Lou Waddill, 82, of Memphis died Friday, December 6, 2019 in Memphis.
Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 9, 2019 in the Memphis Church of Christ with Mark Lance, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Bettie was born February 6, 1937 in Turkey to William and Ruby Mae Hawthorne. She married Alfred Lee Waddill on July 21, 1955 in Memphis. She was a homemaker and was a lifetime resident of Memphis. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, especially following her grandkids in football. Bettie was known for riding around Memphis and enjoyed doing so. She was a member of the Memphis Church of Christ where she was devoted to her Church, and very much enjoyed her Church friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on July 27, 2019; her daughter, Rhonda Barnett on April 18, 2010; and three brothers, Doyle, Vernon, and Charles Hawthorne.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Casas and husband Junior of Memphis; five grandchildren, Chris Lockhart and wife Michelle, Cory Lockhart and wife Diane, Kevin Casas and wife Malari, Tyson Casas, and Jared Casas and wife Kaprisha; nine great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
The family suggest memorials be sent to the Memphis Church of Christ.
