Bettie Joe Kidwell's Obituary
Services will be on Friday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m. at 11th Street Baptist Church in Shamrock, Texas.
Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11 at the Funeral Home.
Bettie Joe Kidwell went to be with The Lord on Friday, February 5, 2016. Bettie was born in Beckham County, Oklahoma on November 11, 1930 to Edger W. and Rebecca M. Beesinger. Bettie was the youngest of eight girls. Bettie was married to Emmett S. Kidwell on August 26, 1945. Bettie has been a member of The Church of the Nazarene in congregations in Shamrock, Texas; Bethany, Oklahoma and Lubbock, Texas. Bettie loved to crochet and made many beautiful items for her family and friends – those beautiful treasures are so special to all of us and will remind us of her each time we look at them.
Bettie is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett S. Kidwell and daughter, Janice Ruth Kidwell.
She is survived by her son, Marcus Kidwell and wife Debbie of New Home, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Kidwell of Pretoria, South Africa; grandson, Daniel Kidwell and wife Kaitlin and great-granddaughter, Sidalee Kidwell all of Lubbock, Texas; foster son, Ron Satterfield and wife Marge and their children Matt and Jana of Placerville, California and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
