Benny Maddox's Obituary
Benny Maddox, 84, of Memphis died Sunday, September 27, 2020 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Anthony Knowles, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Benny was born April 30, 1936 in Hall County to Henry and Gertie Maddox. He married Yvonne Padgett on July 8, 1955 in Memphis. Benny was a lifetime resident of Hall County. He was a farmer, rancher, and liked to follow rodeos.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on January 3, 2017; four brothers, James Maddox, William Maddox, Taner Maddox, and Winfred Maddox; and 3 sisters, Margaret Lawhorn, Emma Jo Sims, and Raye Bailey.
Survivors include his daughters, Lori Cartmill and husband Ronnie and Lu Gwynne Boone all of Memphis, and Donna Telinde and husband Tim of Garden City, Kansas; his brothers, Larry Maddox of Memphis, Gordon Maddox of Howardwick, and Roy Maddox of Perryton; his sister, Gaye Knox of Memphis; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family request memorials be sent to Fairview Cemetery Association.
