Bennie Lee Ray Harris, 78, of Clarendon, Texas died Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Clarendon, Texas.
Memorial graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 10, 2023 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas with Pastor Jeff Riles, officiating. Inurnment will follow in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Bennie was born March 2, 1945 to Jimmie Lee and Varie Walker Harris. He had been a resident of Clarendon most of his life where he worked as a farm hand prior to his retirement. He loved to dance, a good party, playing the guitar and harmonica. He was a family man and loved all of his family. Bennie loved reading his Bible and going to his Church at St. Stephens Baptist Church in Clarendon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet Harris; and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Fern Jones and Mae D. Harris both of Clarendon; his daughter, Terry Sims of Clarendon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
