Beatrice "Bea" Johnson's Obituary
AMARILLO / CLAUDE MEMORIAL SERVICES - 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in the South Georgia Baptist Church in Amarillo with Rev. Bob Miller, Pastor, and Rev. Jody Meason, officiating. INTERMENT- Private Family Burial will be in Claude Cemetery in Claude. Arrangements are by Robertson Armstrong Chapel of Claude. Viewing will be held Tuesday at Robertson Armstrong Chapel in Claude. Mrs. Johnson was born January 20, 1919 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Sam and Carrie Burrows Thompson. She married Evert Johnson on March 22, 1935 in Clovis, NM. She had been a longtime resident of Claude prior to moving to Amarillo 15 years ago. She was Mamaw to everybody and loved to crochet, quilt, and was an awesome cook. She was a member of the Claude Home Demonstration Club and the First Baptist Church of Claude. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her husband; 2 sons; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; a granddaughter; a grandson; and 2 great grandchildren. SURVIVORS - 2 sons, Bobby Johnson and wife Charlotte of Amarillo and Roger Johnson of Canyon; a daughter, Rhonda Stephenson and husband David of Canyon; a daughter in law, Linda Thompson and husband Tommy of Amarillo; a brother, Sam Thompson of Plainview; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be sent to South Georgia Baptist Church Building Fund.
