Barbara "Sue" Martin's Obituary
Barbara Sue Martin, 73, of Claude died Sunday, July 24, 2022 in Amarillo.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2022 in Great Plains Western Church in Washburn with Royce Mason, officiating. Burial will follow in Claude Cemetery in Claude.
Arrangements are by Robertson Claude Chapel.
Sue was born December 30, 1948 in Amarillo to Dora Belle Obrecht and Floyd Moore and Dellis Russ. She married Patrick Earl Martin, Sr. on January 17, 1969 in Amarillo. She had been a resident of Claude since 1983 and was a dietary manager for several nursing homes prior to her retirement. Sue's hobbies included cooking, sewing, needle point, and camping. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Sue was always helping and attending livestock shows for many years. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 13, 2015; a brother, Larry Gale Moore; and a niece, Lindsey Russ.
Survivors include her son, Patrick Martin, Jr. and wife Erin of Lake Jackson; her daughter, Kristy Horn and husband James of Claude; her brothers, Mike Russ and wife Sherry of Bushland, Ronnie Moore and wife Cindy of Canadian, and Dale Moore and wife Judie of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Hunter Martin of Panhandle, Aubrey Henley and husband Noah of Hartley, and Seth Horn of Borger; her adopted grandchildren, Abigail Miller, Brooklynn Claybo, Braelynn Claybo, Emersyn Claybo, and Everliegh Claybo; and several nieces and nephews.
The family request memorials be sent to Armstrong County 4H or Claude EMS.
