Ava Dell “Meme" Clark, 86, of Lakeview died on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Memphis.
Services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Robertson Funeral Directors in Memphis from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Ava Dell “Meme” was born on January 1, 1932 in Childress County to O.D. and Mattie T. Adams Phillips. She married W.O. Clark on October 15, 1955 in Childress. She was a resident of Hall County for most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis. She served as an election judge and on the Lakeview city council. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband W.O. in 1991; her parents; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her sons Gregg Clark and wife Catherine of Memphis and Kelly Clark and wife Melanie of Lakeview; her sister Corine Henderson of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren Caitlin Clark, Troy Clark, Gracie Clark, Konner Clark, Walker Clark, Lindsey Ackerman, Laurin Bocanegra, and Luke Freeze; a great-grandchild Aubrey Ackerman; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and her best friend of 65 years, Georgia Watson.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to the Hall County Ambulance Service.
