Audra Dean Morgan's Obituary
Audra Dean Morgan was born in Shamrock, Texas, December 28, 1939 to John M. Morgan and Audie P. Morgan of Samnorwood, Texas. She passed away on July 16, 2021 at the age of 81.
She is survived by two sisters: Wanda Barber of Cleburne and Barbara Martin, her twin, of Euless; one sister-in-law, Mary Morgan of Wellington; and multiple nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, John and Audie Morgan; a brother, Michael Morgan; a brother, Harry Morgan; a sister, Johnnie Mae Oliver; a brother, J.M. Morgan Jr., and a brother, Wendell Morgan.
Upon graduation from Samnorwood High School, Audra worked as a seamstress in McLean, Tx. She then worked at Vernell’s Jewelry for several years before purchasing the business and renaming it, Audra’s Jewelry & Gifts. Audra retired in 2013.
Audra was a longtime member of the Eleventh Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She loved family, friends, children, animals and people, in general. Audra always looked to the future and will be deeply missed by the community of Shamrock.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 21 from 5-6pm at Robertson Funeral Directors in Shamrock. Jeff Messer of Amarillo will officiate the service to be held at the Eleventh Street Baptist Church on Thursday, July 22, at 2pm, graveside immediately following at the Shamrock Cemetery.
