GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 2:30 pm Sunday, September 22, 2013 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Lance Wood, officiating.
INTERMENT- Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Arlis was born June 11, 1934 in Goldston, Donley County, Texas to Edward and Goldie Mooring. He married Sandra Jo Bownds on October 3, 1952 in Clarendon. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He had been a longtime resident of Clarendon before moving to Ada, Oklahoma in 1998 and in 2011 moved back to Howardwick. He worked for the US Postal Service prior to his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarendon.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - his parents; his wife on February 15, 1998; his son, Joe Kent Mooring; a daughter, Stacy Mooring; 2 brothers, Herman Mooring and B.J. Mooring; and a sister, Juanita Dickenson.
SURVIVORS- his son, Rick Mooring and wife Lauri of Edmond, Oklahoma; a brother, Bill Mooring of Clarendon; 2 sisters, Genella Eads of Clarendon and Naomi Spann of Wichita, Kansas; and a granddaughter, Nicole Mooring.
MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to the Howardwick Volunteer Fire Department or MDA.
