Anthony Glen Scott's Obituary
Anthony Glen Scott, 58, of Wheeler, Texas, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, in Wheeler.
Family-directed memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Cornerstone Church in Wheeler, with Erron Mercer officiating.
Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Glen was born on September 2, 1967, in Cartersville, Georgia, to Jerry Dennis Scott and Rose Lee Jenkins Scott. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was also a professional outfitter. Glen had been a resident of Wheeler for the past 18 years.
A devoted hunter and avid outdoorsman, Glen found great joy in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending auctions. He was a proud grandfather, lovingly known as “Papa” to his grandchildren. Above all, Anthony deeply cherished his beloved dogs, Buck and Rip, who were constant companions.
On April 3, 2021, Glen married Billie-Jo Shannon Chronister in Montana. Together they shared a life rooted in love, family, and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Dennis Scott.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Scott of Wheeler; his mother, Rose Scott of Taylorsville, Georgia; his sons, Adam Scott and wife Rhonda of Wheeler, and Shane Scott and wife Kayla of Mobeetie; his daughters, Melinda King and husband Dennis of Oklahoma City, and Kamie Bicknell and husband Zach of Noble; his sister, Denise Nunley of Taylorsville, Georgia; his five grandchildren, Braxton, Khloe, Cassidy, Zoey, and Ridge; as well as a niece and a nephew.
Glen will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, devotion to his family, and the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
