Ann Ree Porter Stuckman, 83, of Savannah, Georgia, and formerly of Clarendon, Texas, wife of Lowell Randalls Stuckman, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ and members of her family on the evening of September 17th 2007, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law under the care of Hospice. The third of Grandmother Porter’s Jewels has joined her sisters, Booie and Jeannie in Spirit within the Eternal Realm with God, where one grand Porter/Powell family has awaited Ann with anticipation, and now rejoices in her presence among them. Born in Clarendon, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Judge, John Ralph Porter and the late Jeannie Dale Powell Porter. Mrs. Stuckman was a member of Skidaway Island United Methodist Church and grew up in the First United Methodist Church of Clarendon. She truly lived the faith: quilting and knitting for the church and serving others with compassion everyday. She met her husband in Texas during World War II and married. Ann graduated from Purdue University, taught elementary school for five years, and then stayed at home to rear their three daughters. She was an avid golfer who loved playing cards, gardening, singing in the choir and a good laugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Frances “Boo” Porter Lowe and Jennie Dale Porter Landreth, and two brothers, William M. “Bill” Porter and Ralph Powell “Sonny” Porter. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Lowell Randalls Stuckman of Savannah, Georgia; three daughters, Catherine J. Martin and her husband, Mark, of Glen Arbor, Michigan, Cynthia A. Hitt and her husband, Steve, of Weatherford, Texas, and Amy L. Blevins and her husband, Alan, of Savannah, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Clint Martin, Mary Westbrook, Marshall Martin, Boyd Hitt, Brooke Hitt, Carmen Castellano, and Taylor Blevins, and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Castellano and Mason Westbrook.
