After High School Ann attended Abilene Christian University. As a young woman she wrote for the Gainesville Daily Register, the Wichita Eagle and Beacon and the Amarillo Globe News. She later co-authored a historical account of South Haven, Kansas, called Shoofly City. Ann George will be remembered and loved by three children, Kathy Mullen and her husband Paul, Mike Failing and his wife Diane and Phyllis Young and her husband Mark, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
