Ann Coleman's Obituary
Valettra Ann Coleman of Shamrock, Tx passed away in Amarillo, Tx on December 1, 2019 at the age of 82.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in the Church of Christ in Shamrock with Max McClendon, officiating. Burial will follow at Dozier Cemetery in Dozier.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Ann was born August 24, 1937 in Quanah, Tx to Lem and Valeria Weaver. She was the eldest of four siblings. She grew up in Silverton, Tx and graduated from high school in 1955. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Tx and met the love of her life, Douglas Coleman. They were married in Loving, NM on June 30, 1955 and began their life together on the family farm. They were the third generation to operate the farm. They raised two children, Doug, Jr. and Cindy. Ann’s home was always a haven for numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.....she was a beloved mother figure to many.
She never missed a ballgame of her children, grandchildren, and even great grandkids. She was loud and proud and always cheering them on.
She was a long time member of the Dozier Church of Christ until the church closed its doors. She then became a member of the Shamrock Church of Christ.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Lem and Valeria Weaver and her husband Douglas, Sr.
She is survived by a son, Doug, Jr and wife Traci Coleman of Samnorwood, Tx, daughter Cindy Ann Coleman of Shamrock, sister Karla Alexander of Lubbock, a brother Max Weaver and wife Sheryl, and sister Tina Nance and husband Wayne all of Silverton. She had 8 grandchildren: Laci Crowell, Kayla Hansen, Zack Coleman, Douglas Crowell, Cash Crowell, Laramie Jernigan, Mark Wilson, and Jenna Wilson. She had 18 great grandchildren and seven great great grandsons.
