Anita was born on Wednesday, September 3, 1941 in Shamrock, Texas to Clarance Reed Tucker and Juanita Sparkman Tucker. In addition to home design and construction, she loved learning and teaching sewing, a craft she learned from her mother. She was also a dedicated genealogist, who worked tirelessly tracing her family tree so that future generations would know their family.
Neeter Ann, as her beloved father-in-law nicknamed her, loved recalling stories of her Granddaddy Tucker, who taught her how to build homes, love God, and place family first.
In 1960, she met the love of her life James Robin Poole. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary July 1, 2022. They raised two sons in Ardmore, Oklahoma, James Robin (Rob) Poole Jr. and Christopher Reed Poole, and she was very active with the raising her granddaughter Mikayla Elizabeth Poole, who she considered a daughter.
In 1959, Anita graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas. Upon graduation, she attended Amarillo College while she worked at the First National Bank of Amarillo. That's where she met her husband Robin, and they began their life together. During her career, she and Robin built and remodeled homes and buildings across the country, from Shamrock to Oklahoma City to suburban Atlanta and Dallas.
Anita is preceded in death by her mother Juanita Sparkman Tucker Harmon Brown, her father Clarence Reed Tucker, her step-father Lon Harmon, and her brother Clifton Ray Tucker and his wife Alice.
She is survived by husband Robin; her two sons, Rob Poole and his wife Lori, and Chris Poole and his husband Stuart Hazleton; granddaughters Mikayla Poole, Shelby Hill and her husband Charlie, Britney Todorovic and her husband Marko; great grandchildren Miles, Nikolas, and Luka Todorovic; her sister Mary Elizabeth Stovall and her husband Sonny; and sisters-in-law Rita Tyler and Bobbie Bennett.
