Andy Dale Hartsell's Obituary
Andy Dale Hartsell, 61, of Garland, Texas died Friday, July 26, 2024 in Garland, Texas.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 30, 2024 in the Memphis Church of Christ with Mark Lance, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Viewing will be held Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis, Texas.
Andy was born November 5, 1962 in Memphis, Texas to Jimmy Dale and Dorothy Wheeler Hartsell. He had been a resident of Garland for the past 30 years. He had worked as a General Manager for movie theaters prior to his illness. He loved movies so working in movie theaters was a big plus for Andy. He also enjoyed traveling and going out to eat, especially taking his mom out to eat. He was very good to his Mom and Dad. He enjoyed irritating people with funny nicknames and had a fun sense of humor. He was described as a night owl who was very frugal, and was full of life. He had a dog named Panda that he enjoyed going on 4 mile walks with, up until about 3 weeks before his death.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a brother, Shane Hartsell.
Survivors include his father, Jimmy Hartsell of Gun Barrel City, Texas; his mother, Dorothy Hartsell of Garland, Texas; his sister, Kathy Jacobs and husband Rob of Calabasas, California; a niece, Abigail Jacobs; and several cousins.
The family request memorials be sent to the Alzheimers Association.
