MEMPHIS SERVICES- 2:00 pm Monday, August 15, 2011 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. Judge E. Smith, Jr., Bro. Clemmie Smith, and Glen Johnson, officiating. Cremation & Arrangements by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. The body will be available for viewing. Alonzo was born February 11, 1940 in Clarksville to Rosie Lee and Rev. Judge E. Smith, Sr. He had been a resident of Memphis most of his life where he worked at various places. He loved to work on old cars and trim trees. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents; his wife, Clarie Smith; and his sister, Helen Knox. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Toni Smith of Memphis; his brothers, Bro. Clemmie Smith and Rev. Judge E. Smith, Jr. both of Wichita Falls, Charles Smith and Benjamin Smith both of Amarillo, and Daniel Smith of Memphis; his sisters, Verdia Steptoe of Amarillo, Mae Newsome of Memphis, and Elizabeth Walker of Wichita Falls; a granddaughter, Kadeijah Smith; a special lady friend, Angela Henderson of Memphis; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and special friends.
