CLARENDON SERVICES- 10:00 am Monday, April 2, 2007 in Robertson Chapel Of Memories in Clarendon with Rev. Bryan Knowles, Retired Baptist Minister, officiating. INTERMENT- Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mrs. Maxey was born January 6, 1930 to Dewey and Ernie Barker Goodman in Clarendon. She was a lifetime resident of Clarendon. She married Richard Oscar Maxey on September 21, 1947 at Clarendon. She had owned her own restaurant for several years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarendon. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her husband on May 22, 1992; one daughter, Sandra Elaine Maxey in 1950; and one brother, Billy Goodman. SURVIVORS - 3 daughters, Marsha Kay Kirk and Paula Jo Nuss both of Amarillo, and Richelle Lynn Culifer of Tulia; a son, Richard “Buzzy” Maxey of Sacramento, California; a brother, Jimmy Goodman of New Jersey; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.
