CLARENDON
SERVICES – 10:00 am Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon with Rev. Charlie Floyd and Rev. Larry Capranica, pastor, officiating.
INTERMENT – Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, TX.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Alice Johnson was born June 20, 1914 in Sweetwater, Texas to Abner Carl and Harriet Moreman Hartzog. She married John C. Johnson on June 16, 1929 in Clarendon. Alice had been a housewife and helped with many jobs on the family farm. She loved sewing and was well known for her abilities as a seamstress. She loved gardening, cooking for family meals, and was not afraid to be the family disciplinarian. She loved Jesus and her church, and had served as the treasurer for the Brice Baptist Church for many years. After moving to Clarendon from the farm house in 2000, Alice became a charter member of the Community Fellowship Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her parents; her husband, John C. Johnson; a brother, Harry Hartzog; and a sister Juanita Wood.
SURVIVORS – her son, Max Johnson of Childress, Texas; 2 daughters, Bobbye Johnson of Clarendon, Judy Fincher of Mead, Oklahoma; 2 brothers; Lew Hartzog of Silver City, New Mexico, Carl Hartzog of Ft. Worth, Texas; a sister Ruth Perkins of Clarendon; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
