Lou was a great "second mom" to me growing up, and her and Les were great friends to my parents. I will always carry fond memories and love in my heart for them.

Mrs. Myers was a sweet and precious friend. Even though she taught 5th grade while I was in 6th grade (Humphrey Highland, Amarillo), she made a difference in my life. She was kind, gentle, jolly and caring. She reached out to me during a time of great struggle in my life.......and she wasn't even my teacher. I have now stood before my own classroom for 35 years. Her example and the example of others have formed my positive classroom environment. I want to grow up to be just like her!??
I am so sorry to hear about Lou's passing. She was very special to me. Every time I walked up to her to give her a hug her always said "there's my friend". I remember eating and visiting with her and Les at the country club and going to their house every year to sell them popcorn with my twin brother, Tyler when we were in cub scouts. May God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.
