Miss Donald was in charge of us in choir at Robert E. Lee Junior High. She taught us and kept us in line, not always an easy task. I was thinking about her today always in a dress and kitten heels, stalking the halls of our junior high on the lookout for miscreants. There were tons of singers more talented than I was, but she took the trouble to pave the way for me to participate in a small touring group in high school when I was a sophomore. Such a formidable lady. Excellent teacher.

Miss Donald was such an important part of my life in jr. high. She was a great motivator, and I learned much from her. I was in choir in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, and went on to the PHS Concert Choir, and then a scholarship to college. She was the key that started me on that path. She will be missed!

Miss Donald was my precious friend and next door neighbor on Russell Street for a number of years. I have missed her the last few years while she was living in Amarillo and will continue to miss her, but am glad she is no longer suffering. My condolences to the family, especially Sandy and Bill.

I will always remember Miss Donald. I was one of her choir students in Pampa in 8th & 9th grade. I was honored to be in many ensemble groups of hers, one in which we practiced at her house. She waited with me on a couple of occasions for my parents to pick me up. She was a great inspiration and a wonderful choir teacher. See you in heaven. My prayers are with the family.

What a privilege is has been to be a friend of Elena's. She was my mentor when I started teaching and a great teacher to all her students. I will miss her tremendously but am glad that she is free from a body that was no longer able to keep up with her. I am sure she is singing in God's Choir. We will see her again when we reach heaven's gates.
