She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shamrock and will be dearly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on October 11, 2016; her 7 brothers, J.L. Kirkland, Bill Kirkland, Donald Kirkland, Pete Kirkland, Scooter Kirkland, Tootsie Kirkland, and Butch Kirkland; and a sister, Faye Bonner. Survivors include her sons, James Hooten and wife Zeda and George Hooten and wife Shirley all of Shamrock; her sisters, Naomi Lowe-Robertson of Shamrock and Shirley Gipson of Odessa; 3 grandchildren, Amy McCasland, Stephen Hooten, and Karen Wright; 4 great grandchildren, Monty McCasland, Madison McCasland, Colton Hooten, and Baylee Wright; a great great grandson, Oliver Sacre; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The family request memorials be sent to Shamrock Meals on Wheels or First Baptist Church of Shamrock Youth Department.
