June 3, 1952 - February 1, 2022

Shirley Lynn Stavenhagen, 69, of Claude died Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Claude. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 7, 2022 in the First United Methodist Church in Claude. Burial will follow in Claude Cemetery in Claude. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors. Shirley was born June 3, 1952 in Amarillo to Jim and Gladys Marie Kirkpatrick. She grew up in Amarillo and was a 1971 graduate of Palo Duro High School. She married Michael Lee Stavenhagen on March 21, 1978 in Clovis, New Mexico. She had been a resident of Claude since 1980. She worked for the First National Bank in Claude for 20 years then Shirley went to work for Region 16 as the executive secretary in adult basis education until her retirement. She loved singing, arts, crafts, and board games. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Claude where she was a Sunday school teacher and helped with the youth. She loved sharing the word of Jesus Christ. Shirley will be dearly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Michael Stavenhagen of Claude; her son, Lee Stavenhagen of Claude; her daughters, Dianne Samaniego and husband Reggie and Kylee Stavenhagen all of Claude; her brothers, Jimmy Kirkpatrick and wife Teresa of Amarillo and Johnny Kirkpatrick and wife Mary of North Carolina; her sister, Margaret Hendricks of Lubbock; her grandchildren, JesLee and Kyra Samaniego; her sisters in law, Jean Reynolds and husband Dan and Teresa Thomas and husband Terrell; and several nieces and nephews. The family request memorials be sent to Northwest Texas Hospital Pulmonary Rehabilitation / 1501 S. Coulter / Amarillo, TX 79106 or the First United Methodist Church of Claude.
