Mary Lou Galbreath, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 in Frisco, Texas. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock with Joseph Vallejos, officiating. Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM -6:00 PM with visitation from 4:00-6:00 PM. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mary was born on August 6, 1935 in Shamrock, Tx to Reginald and Lessie Hill Gaither. She was raised in Shamrock, and she later moved to Crane, Tx. Most of Mary’s career was spent as a sales clerk and grocery checker. She was also a talented seamstress. Mary married Carl Galbreath in Hobbs, NM on February 20, 1983, and the couple moved back to Shamrock in 1990. Mary was a member of the Eleventh St. Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Leslie Galbreath; son, Ronald Glen Ketchum; grandson, C.W. Kingston; and 7 siblings, N.C. Gaither, Gladys Taylor, L.B. Gaither, Annie Tounget, Mable Roberts, Zelma McKinney, and Billy Wayne Gaither. Mary is survived by her four children, Mary Lynn Russell and husband, Joe of Weatherford, TX, Evelyn Kingston of Denison, TX, Randy Ketchum of Burkeville, TX, and James Ketchum of Plainview, TX; sister, Virgie Cook of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren, Mida Bias and husband, Codie of Lubbock, Earl Ketchum of Amarillo, Kori Strange and husband, Ethan of Lubbock, Stephanie Garza of Amarillo, Suzan Goodwin of Shamrock, Kealyn Barlet and husband, Robert of Alamogordo, NM, Carl Kingston of Denison, TX, Lisa Leal and husband, Frank of Sherman, TX, and Adam Ketchum and wife, Cindy of Burkeville, TX; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or the Eleventh Street Baptist Church in Shamrock.
