Jerry Billingsley

March 15, 1949 - May 7, 2022

Jerry Billingsley, 73, of McLean went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Amarillo. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in One Way Church in McLean with B.P. Vinson and Dr. Alberta Helton, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. Viewing will be held Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Jerry was born March 15, 1949 in Shamrock to Cecil and Hazel Sanderson Gillispie. She married Billie Clarence Billingsley on November 23, 1964 in Shamrock. She had been a resident of McLean since 1972 where she was a florist and homemaker. She was also a talented seamstress and boot maker. Jerry's hobbies included traveling and shopping. She loved her family, her church family, and was known as "Meeme" to many. She was a member of the Canadian River Cowboy Church and also attended the HUB in McLean. She was a Pastor and her life revolved around helping people learn more about Jesus, and showing them how to live their lives for Him by example. She spent hours in prayer for everyone she knew and enjoyed serving in Church more than anything else in life besides being with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Bill Billingsley of McLean; her son, Billie Billingsley and wife Angie of McLean; her daughter, Deana Alvarado and husband Jimmy of Panhandle; a brother, Leon Gillispie of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Candace, Tyler, Dustin, and Quin; and her great grandchildren, Zoey, Ridik, Lainey, Zeigen, Gemma, Dallas, and Dexter; and a host of extended family. The family request memorials be sent to the High Plains Children's Home.
