Craig Edward Brooks

January 9, 1960 - March 12, 2022

Craig Edward Brooks, 62, of Midland, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He suffered a massive heart attack doing one of the things he loved most, hunting. Craig was born to IA and Lavern Brooks, both of Shamrock, Texas on January 9, 1960. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, dogs, and family. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Darla. Together they built a life and had two children, Travis Brooks of Lubbock, Texas and a daughter, Trista Ramirez also of Lubbock, Texas. In 2017, Craig was promoted to "Pop Pop" with the birth of his granddaughter, Illa Kay. Craig loved nothing more than his family. He valued integrity, honesty, and a hard days work. Always willing to go the extra mile, he believed a job done, must be done right. He inspired and lead by example. He is preceded in death by both his parents. Survived by his wife, Darla Brooks; his son, Travis; his daughter, Trista; and "Short Britches", Illa. He is also survived by two sisters, Beverly Jennings of Denison, Texas and Brenda Cook of Shawnee, Oklahoma; as well as their families. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2022 in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock with Cottie Tarbet, officiating. Viewing will be held Thursday at the funeral home with family receiving friends for visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
