Carla A. Kimbell

Carla A. (Tucker) Kimbell, 67, of Shamrock passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Wheeler. A prayer service will be held in her name on May 9, 2022 at 2 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shamrock. Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Carla was born in Amherst, Texas, on December 10, 1954, to J.R. and Phyllis (Wheeler) Tucker. She married Roy Kimbell in Shamrock on November 14, 1977. She had been a resident of Shamrock for over 20 years where she was a housewife. She enjoyed bird-watching, word puzzles and board games. She was known to adopt any animal who didn’t have a home. She befriended many regardless of their status, prayed for people she had never even met and would never abandon the people who had treated her wrong. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend because she loved with her whole heart. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-parents. Carla is survived by her husband, Roy Kimbell of Shamrock; daughter, Jennifer Lopez and husband, Jesus Jr, of Wellington; son, Brian Harlan of Amarillo; two sisters, Dianna Duebler of Lubbock, and Debbie Tucker of Paducah; two brothers, Jerry Welch and Billy Welch both of Crowell; brother-in-law Don Kimbell of Glendale, AZ; three grandchildren, Jesus Lopez III (Trey) of McAllen, TX, Suzanna Lopez and Marcus Lopez of Wellington; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed.
