Buddy Parish, 79, of Memphis died Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Memphis. Memorial services for family, friends, and colleagues will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Wylie United Methodist Church in Abilene with Rev. Jeff Hatcher, officiating. Lunch will be provided following the service. An additional memorial service for friends will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in the First United Methodist Church in Memphis with Rev. Marcy Garza, officiating. Cremation & Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Buddy was born July 9, 1941 in Cisco to Myrle and Clarence Henry Parish, Sr. He married Alyce Holtzinger on January 4, 1969 in Dublin, Texas. Buddy was a longtime resident of Abilene where he owned and operated Clayton Homes. He loved sales and putting people in homes was he greatest joy. He was a member of the Wylie United Methodist Church in Abilene. He loved golf, flying airplanes, and traveling. Buddy and Alyce moved to Memphis 5 years ago, and have been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Memphis since that time. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mickey Don Parish and a sister, Anetta Loy Parish. Survivors include his wife Alyce Parish of Memphis; his sons, Tarrance Parish of Abilene and Todd Parish of Flower Mound; his daughter, Marjohn Riney of Kerrville; and 7 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Memphis or Wylie United Methodist Church in Abilene.
