Betty Jo Nuttall, 95, of Claude died Friday, September 10, 2021 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Claude Cemetery in Claude with Rev. Kevin Deckard, officiating. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Tuesday at Robertson's in Claude. Arrangements are by Robertson Claude Chapel. Betty Jo was born January 23, 1926 in Tushka, Oklahoma to Ernest Edward and Bertha Fuson Snow. She married William Garrett "Bill" Nuttall on October 20, 1948 in Durant, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Claude since 1968. She had worked in the Claude school cafeteria, where she enjoyed baking and seeing the kids while working everyday. She was a loyal supporter of Claude Mustangs sports especially basketball. Betty Jo loved gardening, fishing with her husband, sewing, crocheting, making blankets and baby blankets for many people. She also was an outstanding cook where her specialty was baking and making delicious Christmas candy. She also loved to play games, especially cards and dominoes with family and friends. She and Bill were members of the 55 Club in Claude, where they would meet regularly to have dinner and play games. She also was quite the bingo player while her stay at the Hudson House in Claude. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Claude, where she dearly loved all of her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on March 7, 2013; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son, Randy Nuttall and wife Frannie of Amarillo; a sister, Regina Smith of Midlothian; a grandson, Tommy Garrett Nuttall; and several nieces and nephews. The family request memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church in Claude or Claude EMS.
