U.S. VeteranGRAVESIDE SERVICES – with Military Honors offered by Altus Air Force Base will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 8, 2013, at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Windell Knutson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in McLean, officiating.

INTERMENT – Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.

Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.

Billy Joe Skipper, SR was born October 19, 1934 in Wellington, Texas to Charles Henry and Jessie Evalee Houston Skipper. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Betty Jo Bradford on June 21, 1958 in Walters, LA. Billy Joe lived in McLean most of his life where he farmed and ranched. He was a devoted family man and a member of the First Baptist Church in McLean.

PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - his parents; his brother, Lloyd Skipper; and his grandson, Garrett Cleve Kennedy.

SURVIVORS - his wife, Betty Jo Skipper, of McLean; son, Billy Joe Skipper, and wife Pam of McLean; 2 daughters, Lela Kennedy of Jonesville, LA, and Ann Kincannon and husband Billy of Dozier; 2 brothers, Floyd Skipper and wife Nancy of McLean, and Charles Henry “Pete” Skipper of Sublett, KS; sister, Sandra Patton and husband Charlie, of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Kathy Skipper, of Purcell, OK; 5 grandchildren, Derek Kincannon and wife Rhea Ann, Kelsey Kincannon and husband Mike Nutt, Dusty Moody, Trey Skipper and wife Brooke, and Jessi Skipper, all of McLean; 2 great grandchildren, Kenzington Skipper and Tynlee Tidwell, both of McLean.

MEMORIALS – may be made to First Baptist Church of McLean, McLean Fire Department, or BSA Hospice.
